Rick Southen
Massage Therapist

Rick is an experienced physiotherapist with an exceptional practice background. He has worked primarily in General and Sports Private Practice and also been involved with elite sporting teams such as the Victorian Rugby Union, Victorian Football League, national netball and baseball teams. He also has special interest in pain relief for muscular, joint, arthritic and rheumatic conditions. Rick’s practice approach encompasses particularly hands on treatment such as soft tissue massage therapy, mobilisation, ultrasound, sports physiotherapy and the design of personal exercise and fitness programs. He has a friendly and caring nature with a focus on understanding each individual person’s needs, expectations and goals and is a popular practitioner in the centre.

Adrian Tota

Adrian has been an integral part of our team for over a decade.  He is a past graduate of the 5-year double degree course conducted within the faculty of Biomedical and Health Science at RMIT University, Melbourne. He holds degrees in both Chiropractic Science and Clinical
Science. As well as undergoing his chiropractic qualifications, Adrian
also has a strong connection to massage therapy and a history of working within sports clubs and family medical practice. As a result, he is experienced in caring for muscular aches and pains in the back, neck, hips, legs and arms, as well as specialising in treating all types of spinal complaints, headaches, arthritic and other degenerative conditions. Adrian applies a very hands-on approach in caring for his patients, which combines a range of soft and deep tissue massage, mobilisation, gentle manipulation, ultrasound, taping, exercise prescription and general postural, workstation and other self-help advice.

Eddie has worked in the Glen Back Care & Sports Therapy for over 10 years as a Physiotherapist.
He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India and then worked in a renowned Orthopaedic Hospital for a year and a half as a Physiotherapist.
After coming to Australia, Eddie completed his Physiotherapy studies from the University of Melbourne. In addition he also has a Masters Degree in Exercise Rehabilitation from Victoria University.
Eddie has dual qualifications in Physiotherapy as well as in Exercise Physiology. He currently works two days a week at our practice and the other days of the week he works in Aged Care for Villa Maria Catholic Homes(VMCH).
Eddie’s treatment approach involves detailed assessment with hands-on treatment of clients. His experience in Aged Care and Exercise Physiology help him to draw up client centred and suitable rehabilitation goals and exercise plans for individuals.
Eddie is also committed to continuing education as a means to help him to improve the quality of his treatments for clients. Outside of work, Eddie has interest in sports like Soccer/Football, Basketball, Field Hockey and Cricket. He keenly follows Carlton and Real Madrid’s fortunes on the field. His other interests include reading, music and movies.

Denise is an experienced remedial, sports and relaxation massage therapist whom has been with the clinic for over a decade.  She graduated with distinctions from ESTT College of Natural Medicine
and is a Member of the Society of Clinical Masseurs. She has been engaged
for a number of years with AFL clubs and 1st and 2nd Division soccer clubs
and has been involved in providing massage therapy at the Sydney 2000
Olympics, Adidas International Tennis in Sydney, Australian/ South African
Test Cricket Teams and Australian National Netball championships. Denise
utilises a wide range of massage techniques such as deep tissue massage,
sports, relaxation, shiatsu trigger point therapy, myofascial release
to suit each person’s individual needs and preferences. Consequently
she is a popular practitioner in the centre. (Health Rebates available).
 Chris Nolan

B.App.Sci(Comp Med), M.Chiro, M.C.A.A
Christopher graduated from R.M.I.T university with a bachelor in applied
science and a Master degree in clinical chiropractic. He is a caring and
thoughtful practitioner with a strong focus on rehabilitation. Christopher
employs an array of manual adjusting techniques in conjunction with specifically
tailored soft tissue massage therapies. In addition, Christopher uses
various adjunctive modalities such as ultrasound, S.O.T blocking, Activator,
Cranial, heat and cold therapies to maximise his treatment.  
Christopher’s experience includes managing a high-volume chiropractic practice. Christopher looks forward to meeting and assisting you in reaching your health potential.
 Laura Mariani

Laura graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and Masters of Health Science in Osteopathy. Her love of sport and fascination for the potential of the human body led her to a career in Osteopathy. Laura has had several years experience in dance, swimming and netball and takes great interest in gym based health and fitness. Her extensive sporting background enables her to have a deeper understanding of the human body and its biomechanics. She is an extremely passionate and enthusiastic Osteopath and enjoys treating patients of all ages. She is a firm believer of holistic health care and uses a wide range of treatment techniques, rehabilitation and education to develop management plans for her patients. Laura has also undertaken further studies in Trigger Point Dry Needling and uses it to complement her other Osteopathic techniques when required.

James (DongKyu) Seo

Masters of Physiotherapy
James is an experienced physiotherapist having managed a large number of complex musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University, along with a Masters Degree of Physical Therapy from Yong-In University in South Korea. He has diverse skills and certificates, such as Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT, Kaltenborn-Evjenth concept), Taping techniques, Bobath concept and Neuro-Developmental Therapy (NDT).James’ treatment approach embraces hands-on manual therapy, along with diverse exercises including Clinical Pilates and rehabilitation. He has a kind and considerate approach and is a popular practitioner at the practice.
Vanissa Tang

Vanissa has graduated from La Trobe University with a Masters of Physiotherapy Practice. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology which gives her an extensive background in anatomy and the analysis of human movement in day-to-day functional activities, work ergonomics and sport-specific activities. Her wide range of work experience as a physiotherapist assistant in Canada, sports trainer, spinal cord injury rehabilitation exercise trainer, and work in aged care, has allowed her to develop a diverse set of skills. She has a very approachable and caring nature and her treatment approach entails both hands-on manual therapy and exercises that help to achieve patient-specific goals as well as to promote self-management and injury prevention.
Mark Ghaly

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University. As an amateur boxer, he has enriched his knowledge about neuromuscular control and injury patterns, and what it is to be an injured athlete. Mark has experience in massage, taping and acute injury management, having worked closely with South Yarra Football and Netball Club as a sports trainer. His physiotherapy approach encompasses hands-on manual techniques such as massage and mobilization, along with specific corrective exercise prescription. He is particularly interested in enhancing the role of both prevention and rehabilitation in combat sports.

Karthika Uddaiyar

B. Health Science / Master of Physiotherapy Practice
Karthika graduated from La Trobe University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Health Sciences/ Master of Physiotherapy practice. She has a background in classical Indian dance and has a keen interest in dance injuries and injury prevention. Over the past year, Karthika was based in Hobart and worked with a state football team, Lauderdale Football Club, from which she has gained great experience in managing a range of sports injuries. During her career, she has worked in Aged Care, with TAC & workcover patients, musculoskeletal injuries, and has experience in clinical pilates. Karthika values tailoring an individual approach for her patients, so as to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
James Giles

James is an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist who graduated from the Victorian Fitness Academy in early 2016, and has worked in many different places providing knowledgeable and sound advice for clients from all walks of life. He has a history of treating clients with many different bio-mechanical dysfunctions and physical disorders, such as Fibromyalgia, various forms of Oedema and sports related injuries.
James is always looking for new ways to improve himself and hone his skills in his chosen field. He is looking forward to his future of becoming a great practitioner, with a refined broad skill-set to help and assist everyone he treats to the best of his abilities.
Sam Turner

Prosthetics & Orthotics / Masters of Podiatric Practice
Sam is a Podiatrist with dual qualifications in Prosthetics & Orthotics as well as a Master of Podiatric Practice, both achieved at La Trobe University. Sam has an interest in all areas of Podiatry but has a keen focus on biomechanics and complex orthotic presentations. Sam thoroughly enjoys incorporating both professions to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Sam’s passion for learning and continuing development has taken him across the globe, finishing his placements in Ireland as well as working in New Zealand. From these experiences, Sam has aimed to explore new horizons and constantly challenge himself to provide the best quality care to his patients. Outside of podiatry and orthotics Sam has a particular interest in Australian Rules Football, playing in Melbourne, as well as hiking. He has walked the incredible Kokoda track and successfully completed Oxfam’s Trailwalker.

Bing graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Physiotherapy. He has worked in Private Practice and Aged care facility and also been involved in sports team such as Southern Netball Football League, Victorian Amateur Football Association, National Basketball league and Westfield W-League. Bing offers injury assessment, therapeutic massage, joint mobilisation, taping, exercise prescription and clinical education for a wide variety of physical problems.
Bing is committed to find the cause of pain and match the treatment with client’s expectations. Outside of work, Bing has interest in tennis, swimming, and basketball. He is loyal supporter of Houston Rockets and Barcelona FC. His other interests include history, playing guitar and cooking.
Tracy Williams

Tracy is a graduate of R.M.I.T University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chiropractic and a Master of Clinical Chiropractic. With over 9 years of clinical experience, she believes Chiropractic care optimises your health and wellbeing by improving the integrity of your nervous system. She specialises in both acute and wellness care, placing an emphasis on quality of care and believe treatment should be personalised to individual needs. Tracy keeps up to date with current protocols and modern techniques.
Tracy is experienced in both manual Diversified adjustments and gentle low-force techniques, including soft tissue work, mobilisation, Activator, drop table, blocks and cranial techniques. She also incorporates postural exercises, stretches, kinesio taping, strengthening therapy and ergonomics in the care plan. This gives her patients the best opportunity to achieve desired outcomes in the quickest time possible.
